The Feinstein Challenge

From March 1 through April 30 the Food Bank of South Central Michigan is participating in the Feinstein Challenge. It’s a way to add value to your monetary gift to the Food Bank.

Here’s how it works:

The Feinstein Foundation is offering $1 million to food banks across the United States as a proportional match to gifts made between March 1 and April 30. It's a proven catalyst for giving. In order to qualify for the Feinstein Foundation's partial, proportional match on monetary gifts:

1. Checks need to be dated between March 1 through April 30
2. Checks need to be made out to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. On the memo line of the check, please write: “Feinstein” and you may indicate your favorite Food Bank member agency (any of the 275 different non-profits that receive food from the Food Bank).
   
3. The Food Bank will guarantee a 10% match to whatever monetary contributions come via the Feinstein Challenge, earmarked to a member agency. So, if a check is made out for $100, to Food Bank, targeting a Food Bank member agency, that agency will then receive a credit in their Food Bank account of $110. ($100 original donation + 10% match from the Food Bank!)
