Offering a
partial match on contributions, the Feinstein Challenge is the perfect
way to stretch your charitable giving to the Food Bank of South Central
Michigan. But there’s only one week left on this golden opportunity.
During the month of April, donations made to the Food Bank in the name
of one of their member agencies are eligible for a partial match from
the Feinstein Foundation. With help from the Feinstein Challenge, the
Food Bank guarantees a 10 percent match on contributions made to the
Food Bank, earmarked for one of its member agencies.
In the greater Battle Creek/ Calhoun County area,
the Food Bank of South Central Michigan provides food for 159 agencies
who distribute it to those in the community who are in need. Over the
past five years, they have distributed 8,015,510 pounds of food, which
represents a savings of $12 million to the agencies the Food Bank
serves.
Only donations made up until April 30 are eligible to
be included in the Feinstein Challenge, for the additional funds. Checks
must be dated by April 30. Contributions can be mailed to: Food Bank of
SCM, PO Box 408, Battle Creek, MI 49016. Secure on-line donations can
