You can be part of the solution and let your elected officials know that it will take all of us to solve hunger.
Call Your Elected Officials
Together we can solve hunger, but it’s going to require an active partnership between individuals like you, charity organizations, business and the government. It’s the only way we’ll end hunger across America.
Just like the Food Bank, federal hunger-relief programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Women, Infant & Children (WIC) and others help people in need put food on the table so they can get back on their feet. They offer a direct lifeline to millions of children, seniors and families struggling with hunger. That’s why the decisions our leaders in Washington make are so important.
It’s our job to show Congress that America wants to end hunger once and for all by investing in programs and policies that help struggling Americans get through difficult times. Working together, we can achieve our vision of a hunger-free America, but we need your help.
Calling Congress is easy! Just dial the toll-free number that has been provided by Feeding America, enter your zip code and you’ll be connected to your Member of Congress’s office. Take your advocacy to the next level and help us track our impact by letting us know when you reach out. Email Holly Cavinder at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dial 888-398-8702 and listen to the pre-recorded message.
Connect to your first Senator and enter your zip code. Once you are connected with your first Member of Congress, tell them that you are a constituent and you support strong federal hunger-relief programs.
For the greatest impact, be sure to call and talk to both your senators and your representative.
Personal calls, letters and emails from constituents have the greatest impact on legislators. Your opinion matters! Let them know you support the Food Bank and strong federal hunger-relief programs that keep people out of poverty and food insecurity.
