Give Food

Help feed our neighbors in need. We gladly accept all food donations large or small. Whether you are hosting a food drive, moving and need to clean out your pantry, or have a surplus of unmarketable product, we will responsibly distribute your donations safely and efficiently to families in need across south central Michigan.

Individual Food Donations

You can drop off food for donation at our distribution center, located at 5451 Wayne Road, Battle Creek, in the Ft. Custer Industrial Park. Our hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Food & Fund Drives

To host a special event, food drive or fund drive for the Food Bank, contact us at 269-964-FOOD (3663). We can arrange for collection barrels and even help you with promotion.

Store Rescue Programs

We partner with several local retail stores to keep close-to-expiration items out of the waste stream. A variety of grocery retailers and other retailers who include food in their inventory now make regular donations.

Food Industry Partnerships

The Food Bank is fortunate to be located in a very food-rich environment. We get many food donations directly from manufactures, distributors and processors in our service-area, which is critical in helping to meet the needs of the hungry. From big to small, we rely on the many food manufactures who have become FBSCM partners.

Michigan Agriculture Surplus System (MASS)

A program of the Food Bank Council of Michigan, MASS works to procure unmarketable, yet nutritious, agricultural surplus for Michigan food banks. The Michigan-grown products are then safely and efficiently made available to local pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.

Farm to Food Bank

The Food Bank works with local farms to grow highly-requested items for distribution within our hunger-relief network.  The program not only helps to feed the hungry, but also supports and farming community and the local economy.
